For over 50 years, the agency known as Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore made an incredible impact on the lives of children in the Michigan lakeshore counties of Ottawa, Muskegon, Oceana and Mason. Together with our volunteer mentors, we inspired and defended every kid’s potential. We are so grateful for everyone who was a part of our history.
Unfortunately, the agency ran out of funding and closed on June 30, 2023. The board worked behind the scenes trying to connect with supporters and donors to set up an opportunity for the neighboring agency to take over the lakeshore service area. That effort was not successful.
